We're one of the most exciting scale-ups in the world right now, and we need the smartest, kindest, and most unrelenting people to join us on our journey.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development leader to join us in London. This person will be responsible for leading and scaling our high-performing SDR team while also owning the wider Business Development strategy for the UK & EMEA. We need someone who is equally passionate about our SDR's success and growth as they are able to execute creative strategies that will drive revenue at Synthesia. This is a unique opportunity for a talented, passionate leader to join us and make a huge impact on our next stage of growth.

What you will do...

  • Own Business Development strategy for London and EMEA.
  • Become an inspirational, knowledgeable leader to our SDR team - you'll cultivate a high-performing, inclusive team that can thrive and progress with Synthesia.
  • Using your Business Development knowledge, build and execute on strategies that drive inbound and outbound activity - collaborating closely with leaders across Marketing, CS, and beyond.
  • Set the bar for operational excellence through adherence to sales disciplines (e.g. tasks in the anatomy of the quarter, Salesforce hygiene, and accurate forecasting).
  • Take ownership of the SDR playbook, incorporating best practices for a personalized, account-based approach to prospecting.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Enablement to ensure relevant tools and content support the SDR team.

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You’re a warm, inclusive, and talented leader who can inspire and motivate our SDR team to success.
  • We expect you’ll have a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a top-performing SDR in an IC role, plus significant experience as a manager/director growing and managing SDR teams from the ground up.
  • You have extensive experience hiring and developing teams of successful SDRs, particularly in the early stages of their careers, providing direction, mentoring, and motivation.
  • You're driven and excited about managing SDRs and not just looking for second-line management - that will come, but not yet.
  • You’ve experienced growth and rapid scale and understand the challenges and opportunities that this presents.
  • You have strong written and spoken English - you will need to present to your team and other teams, including the Executive Leadership team, on a regular basis.
  • You're an expert in both inbound and outbound processes.
  • Fluent with Salesforce, Salesloft, and Hubspot.
  • A willingness and excitement to work in our London office (in Oxford Circus) 2-3 days a week.

We’d be particularly excited if you also bring…

  • Multiple experiences of strategic initiatives you've driven and owned as a BD leader - we want to learn from you!
