Role Description:
The HR Operations Manager is responsible for setting a scalable and seamless operational strategy that provides user-friendly content, simple processes and solutions and great experiences to candidates and colleagues in order to enable our employees to focus on Symphony’s customers. This is a player-coach role leading a global team dedicated to operating at scale and in achieving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the end-to-end HR Operations function and team including but not limited to total rewards, immigration, systems, data management, policies, process, onboarding, offboarding, vendor management, documentation management, compliance
- Designing processes and policies around HR initiatives, including employment law and legislation across all locations, globally
- Supporting all HR programs from a systems, process, resource, and employee inquiries standpoint
- Continuously improving our people processes to stay ahead of regulation and to scale as the company grows
- Responding to complex colleague queries as part of our tiered service delivery model
- Creating simple, user-friendly communications for all of our people processes, programs, and resources
- Managing supplier relationships and bill management
- Taking the lead on HR operations-related projects, acting as the SME in project groups, and working with partnering teams on cross functional deliverables
- Owning and updating knowledge articles and content management.
- Defining the tech roadmap for the HR function; managing and optimizing our HR systems in a way that enables us to scale as we grow and that provides a positive candidate and colleague experience which can include the implementation of new systems, system decommissioning legacy systems, integrations within HR and with cross functional systems
- Leading all compliance and audit activities with operational staff, business functions, and auditors
- Managing benefits roll out in alignment with the broader total rewards strategy
- Managing all aspects of the voluntary and involuntary termination process in close partnership with our HRBP and legal teams
- Leading all aspects of the on-boarding process in partnership with key cross functional partners
- Managing and maintaining functionality and accuracy of HRIS and other HR-related systems
- Defining the data strategy and framework, ensuring all people data is accurate and current, and driving a data-led HR function and talent approach
- Driving due diligence efforts in M&A activity, integrating acquired companies, and/or establishing new locations
- Monitoring KPIs on functional performance and providing regular updates to senior leadership
- Managing and developing a global team of HR operations professionals
Required Qualifications:
- Proactive approach to problem solving and driving simple, efficient processes
- Ability to break down complex processes into simple steps for users
- Good presentation skills and ability to depict clear flow maps
- Familiarity with using HRIS & service desk tools eg. Workday, Greenhouse, ZenDesk,Jira
- Vendor management experience
- Proven track record of designing and writing HR operational policy and processes at both global and regional level
- Strong benefits, leave and immigration experience; global experience is preferred
- Experience working in G-Suite
- SPHR, CIPD, or the like preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience required
