Location: Aero Dr NE & Aero Cres NE, Calgary. This position will require  20% travel  to 36 Ave & 8th St, Nisku.

Shift: This position will provide a full time AM schedule. 

About the RoleThe Hub Manager will have oversight and responsibility over all functional areas within both Alberta facilities and overall geographic delivery service area. Building from the ground up, you will shape and scale an industry-leading chilled last-mile delivery operation in your region, delivering thousands of freshly produced meal boxes directly to our customers each and every day.  

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, execute and continually improve the day-to-day operations in the Delivery Hub(s), encompassing sortation processes, fleet management, route planning and coordination of on-road delivery operations
  • Accountability for meeting and exceeding KPIs, health & safety compliance, and customer service benchmarks
  • Strategic planning and forecasting; evaluate volumes and capacity, resolve problems, and address resource gaps
  • Own the financial and operational health of the site; manage P&L and budgeting
  • Validate fleet health and maintenance schedules, confirm vehicle demand and driver staffing / scheduling in-line with volume variability
  • Cultivate and sustain a culture of safety, positivity, inclusion and excellence
  • Manage the business relationship and performance of delivery partners / service providers through frequent reviews and alignment meetings. Create action plans that ensures business objectives and SLA’s are met
  • Assist in the development and optimization of key operational processes and standards
  • Work directly with management, external partners, service providers and cross-functional team members to properly execute company objectives and project timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • 4+ years leadership experience in supply chain, transportation, or fulfillment companies
  • 4+ years direct management experience of employees, contingent workforce, or third-party resources in a large scale environment
  • Valid Class 5 license (or equivalent in Canadian Province)
  • Ideally, you have experience in a leadership role in an in-sourced last mile delivery operation
  • Quantitative and analytical experience – must have exceptional MS Excel skills
  • Decisive, data-driven and customer-centric
  • Knowledge of fleet management and vehicle preventative maintenance 
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: take ownership of work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated
  • Entrepreneurial with a strong attitude towards getting things done, even when it means getting into the trenches and getting your hands dirty!
