Critical Mass' Internship opportunities are part of our Trailhead Program and will provide a 12-week jump-start to your career. The program is a fast-track to launch your career through regular learning opportunities, mentorship, client work exposure, while also getting paid. We aim to show you all the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass, and to support you as part of the team! You will have the opportunity to try the digital agency world through multiple internship and client projects to see if it's for you! 

Our Internship will run from May 21-August 9, 2024.

The Human Resources (HR) Intern is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong desire to learn more about various HR functions in a contemporary, fast-paced environment. The HR Intern will provide support to the human resources team in a variety of ways. The successful candidate will gain experience with HRIS systems, employee feedback surveys, employee experience and recognition, career development processes, and policy and procedure administration.  

You Will:

  • Have exposure to and be trained on the career development process, communication of company policies, employee data management, and the employee experience function.
  • Assist with management of data in HRIS systems to ensure data is accurate through data entry, audits, and data validation.
  • Support the design and maintenance of systems and procedures to ensure the validity of data across systems.
  • Assist with management of dashboards and queries.
  • Assist in communicating career development and other company processes.
  • Collaborate with and learn from key members of the global human resources team
  • Serve as an information resource and liaison to employees and manager.
  • Support the employee experience team in data reporting and analysis from employee engagement surveys.
  • Prepare basic presentations where requested.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as necessary.

You Have:

  • Current student in HR or business analytics focused post-secondary program.
  • Have experience in training and development or have some related work experience.
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (intermediate knowledge in Excel and Outlook), Keynote.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High degree of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Good use of tact and judgment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer service focused attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Aptitude and desire for a career in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of employment related laws and practices is a plus.
  • HR-related data analysis a plus.
