Lead Generation Specialist
Smart Design is looking for a resourceful and natural networker to support lead generation and outbound business development activities. If you are an eager. ambitious and passionate about design, keep reading!
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can articulate what makes Smart Design special and has a talent for finding opportunities to have those conversations with diverse audiences.
This role spans across client categories, but will be focused on digital product and service innovation with exposure to technology, UX research, and UX design.
Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our capabilities to be able to communicate our offerings to a variety of prospects and potential clients
- Partner with internal leadership to create industry target profiles, prospecting, and work with Marketing to meet business development objectives
- Proactively attend and participate in design and technology events, continually meeting new prospects and ensuring brand awareness of Smart Design
- Identify and proactively establish new business connections via telephone and email outreach
- Identify and suggest trade shows, speaking opportunities, etc., to develop new business contacts and keep metrics on what’s most effective
- Be mindful of industry happenings and interesting items in the press to leverage as outreach for potential opportunities early on
- Manage all contacts within our CRM with regular recordkeeping
- Help coordinate new business meetings, facilitating hand-offs and introductions to our content and client services teams
- 3+ years of business development and/or sales experience in a creative and/or professional services environment
- Proven experience generating new business leads
- Been successful in a self-directed role, but understand that collaboration with teams is critical to success
- Polished, persuasive and consultative writing and presentation abilities
- Ability to travel and work evenings for design and technology events
Please note, the role is based in Brooklyn and the candidate will be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
The salary range will be dependent on experience as we are open to Associate to Manager level candidates, and will range from $65,000-$95,000 plus benefits.
