Airbnb is seeking Legal Interns for our 2025 Summer Intern Program from May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025.

We are looking for first-year law students that are excited to learn new skills and take on challenges with integrity and curiosity as they learn about the practical dimensions of practicing law in-house.

A typical day:
You will work with members of the legal team, including other interns, and folks from across the organization to support a variety of legal functions, which may include: Intellectual Property, Corporate, Commercial, Marketing, Product, Privacy, Payments, Litigation, Regulatory/Policy, Insurance, and Employment. You’ll get exposure to each of these functional areas, dedicated training from subject matter experts, and will have opportunities to work on legal questions for multiple of these teams.
As an intern, you’ll be expected to:
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project milestones
- Complete projects crossing different areas of law, balancing priorities and deadlines
- Communicate with the legal team and other stakeholders to provide project updates and share your work
- Proactively seek and provide feedback throughout the internship
- Actively participate in and contribute to the legal and broader Airbnb community
Important Note: The Legal team is global and frequently works with employees in other time zones. If hired as an intern, you may need to accommodate global teammates from time-to-time, but should expect to primarily be available during Pacific Time business hours.
Your expertise:
This opportunity is for first-year law students (Juris Doctorate) enrolled full-time at a nationally-accredited law school with the following interests and skills:
- Strong interest in learning about in-house legal practice and about multiple practice areas
- Great verbal and written communication skills and interest in honing new communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Adaptable and able to adjust plans and manage changes effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and interest in initiating and building relationships and collaborating with teams within and outside of Legal
- Passion for the Airbnb mission; experience with the platform is a plus!
- Work authorization for employment in the United States is required (CPT/OPT is accepted) - visa sponsorship is unavailable
Your location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
