Wayfair is currently seeking an experienced Learning Experience Design (LXD) Manager to transform the existing training function into a best-in-class learning solution for the Global Sales organization.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing training programs for all aspects of Sales training and corporate support teams, including but not limited to, onboarding, upskilling, leadership, and management as well as change-driven initiatives. You must have experience designing, implementing, and enhancing modern learning solutions in a fast-paced growth environment. You will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of Sales initiatives, processes, and needs.

Travel requirement: up to 40% international travel (Philippines) required

What You'll Do:

  • Drive strategy and execution of all training programs across the Global Sales organization and sales support functions (as needed)
  • Pivot existing training focus from new hire only to org-wide evergreen approach (including, but not limited to new hire, skill development and change related training)
  • Transform existing materials from primarily instructor-led training to 100% modularized delivery of self paced training content 
  • Own existing training development software and make recommendations for improvements based on technical expertise 
  • Drive strategy, implementation and governance of centralized content repository
  • Leverage insights to identify knowledge gaps and deliver relevant and timely content to our teams
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking against internal/external best practices to ensure programs are effective and competitive. 
  • Consult and build relationships with a large business stakeholder group to inform Learning and Development programming 
  • Collaborate with training teams at BPO vendors (trainers supporting our offshore employees) to ensure they can provide inputs and own content development for field teams - BPO and Wayfair
  • Manage and develop team of Learning Experience Designers

What You'll Need: 

  • Degree in Education, Learning and Development, Organizational Development or related field preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and techniques of adult education and accelerated learning concepts for curriculum and training design
  • Training design and delivery experience, including multi-channel delivery and tools (e.g., Onsite classroom, virtual, field-based, gamification)
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) with SCORM\xAPI and Content Management Systems (CMS). Experience in Cornerstone, Seismic or Confluence is a plus
  • Instructional design process knowledge (ADDIE\SAM) and adult learning theories
  • Previous experience evaluating (Kirkpatrick) and assessing training modules for effective learning required
  • Strong public speaking, written communication skills, and organization/project management skills required
  • Strong abilities in root cause analysis and identifying and providing effective solutions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining focus on delivering repeatable, reliable solutions
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
