Manager, Solutions Engineering
About the role
The Solutions Engineering Manager position plays a vital role in empowering our customers to operate securely and scale innovation. To achieve this mission, we need a highly talented and driven individual to lead our team of SEs. The ideal candidate will recruit and develop a high-performance team, demonstrate year-over-year sales success, and ensure customers adopt HashiCorp solutions while building a fantastic team culture aligned with HashiCorp values. In this role you can expect to: Recruiting and Development- Continuously maintain a pipeline of high-performance engineers
- Successfully demonstrate an ability to mentor and coach SEs to their full potential
- Partner with Sales Leadership to develop sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing customer footprint.
- Ensure Technical Solutions meet or exceed our customer expectations by managing sales opportunities.
- Work with Technical Field Leadership to enable your team to guarantee the success of our customers.
- Enable your team to onboard customers and manage account consumption of HashiCorp products.
Collaboration and Culture
- Inspire a team of engineers to expand their knowledge of HashiCorp Enterprise Use Cases to align with technical outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions exceeding our customer's technical objectives.
- Self-directed with the ability to make strategic and tactical decisions.
- Illustrate 5+ years of Technical Pre-Sales or Post-Sales Engineering experience.
- Demonstrate A background in infrastructure automation or security using HashiCorp products.
- Carry a deep understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure technology, and security.
- Maintain a history of defining and carrying out strategic projects leading to the organization's success.
- Prioritize and allocate resources against projects, customer engagements, and sales opportunities.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present both technical and business proposals
- Must be based in the SoCal, NoCal, or PacNorthwest regions and willing to travel 25% of the time.
- A technical/engineering bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- An advanced degree, preferably an MBA preferred
- 2+ years of First line leadership experience
- 5+ Years of Experience in the Infrastructure Automation or Security Domain
The base pay range for this role is:$148,750—$175,000 USDThe OTE pay range for this role is:$212,500—$250,000 USD
