Our Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Talent Engagement & Culture who will drive our Corporate Team Member engagement efforts and develop culture-centric programming supporting our Team Members' needs and business objectives. This role will lead with an inclusive, agile, and innovative mindset to bring Chewy's mission, award-winning culture, and Operating Principles to life for Team Members at all levels. This position, reporting to the Associate Director, Employer Brand & Team Member Engagement, will help lead Corporate Team Member engagement and experiences initiatives (in-person and virtually) for Chewy.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and support the conceptualization, planning, and production of Life@Chewy experiences, fueling engagement, recognition, and morale across all regions for hub-based and remote team members
  • Identify, manage, and execute impactful Chewy-specific events, including Bring Your Child to Work Day, Team Member Appreciation Week, and other relevant company occasions
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Life@Chewy events and consult on events budgets with cross-functional partners, including Facilities
  • Develop toolkits, mechanisms, and event plans to guide and inform regional execution of events and support dispersed teams
  • Build and deliver an integrated Life@Chewy culture communications strategy that helps Chewy employees understand our business, embedded with our Operating Principles, and feel connected to our culture onsite and virtually via tools such as email, Slack, and SharePoint
  • Partner with the Employer Brand team to build a best-in-class employee social media ambassador program to enable, support, and empower employees at all levels to use social media to make connections with the audiences and customers that matter most
  • Provide strategic counsel, guidance, and tools to leaders, empowering them with best practices in engagement that elevate productivity, performance, and Team Member pride in Chewy
  • Implement engagement KPIs and metrics to measure the impact of our initiatives, providing real-time insights into the success of our culture, engagement, and communications strategies

 

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of communications, engagement, and events
  • Proven ability to utilize strong writing skills and execute strategic communication plans to engage Team Members
  • Ability to think big while also delivering tactical results
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-quality results on time and budget
  • Willingness to build relationships and collaborate across the broader HR organization and Chewy enterprise, including the CTO org, Facilities, Customer Service and Operations
  • Onsite participation in company meetings and events, as well as travel to various hubs and sites across our enterprise, will be required as needed

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Our salary range for a Manager, Talent Engagement & Culture III position is $110,500.00 - $176,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
