Role: Network Engineer

Location: Manchester

Hours: 8:45am – 5:15pm

Package: £45k-£50k base (DOE) + £2k bonus

Our Global IT team is growing rapidly, and we need a skilled Network Engineer to support the adoption of Cloud technology in AWS. You will utilise your networking expertise to lead improvements across our global infrastructure and drive improvements in our resilience and performance. You will also support other technologies and teams within the business.

As we are a market leader, we require an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; is team orientated and promotes knowledge sharing and documentation within the team.

We are on a big journey as a business to enhance the technologies used across our IT estate to ensure we remain competitive and can offer our clients the best possible service.

What we are looking for:

• Experience working with Cisco IOS, NX-OS for configuration troubleshooting of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP
• Layer 2 e.g. VLAN trunks, STP, EtherChannel \ Aggregate connections
• Experience working with Cisco Nexus 9k Switches and Virtual Port Channel configuration
• SD-WAN\MPLS Networks
• Cisco Meraki LAN and WLAN network technology
• 1X authentication – Radius, NDES, SCEP
• Experience with SASE & Cloud Security Solutions
• VPN Technologies – Remote Access \ Site-to-Site
• Firewall security policy implementation and monitoring – FortiNet, Meraki
• AWS\Azure networking and security experience
• Good technical documentation skills using Microsoft Visio\Office
• Communicate technical solutions to vendors\suppliers and a non-technical audience
• CCNA Switching & Routing Protocols with minimum of 3 years-experience
