THE ROLE 

 

Key responsibilities 

The North West Platform Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT server infrastructure and systems across our North West partnerships. This is a hybrid role that will involve team management across multiple locations, resource, and capacity planning, and ensuring IT platform services meet or exceed contractual SLA requirements, are managed, secure and up to date. Working with peers to align best practise and ensure Agilisys standards and methodologies are adopted, supported and efficient. 

 

Specific duties 

You will need to be comfortable doing the following: 

  • In-depth knowledge of server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies (Azure). 
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to ensure the security and integrity of IT systems. 
  • Security Vulnerabilities and patch management 
  • Respond to and resolve escalated IT issues promptly, keeping downtime to a minimum. 
  • Implement IT service improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. 
  • Foster a collaborative approach by building and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders, both within Agilisys and with external partners, to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional outcomes. 
  • Embrace a culture of innovation and agility, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and adaptation.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor diverse technical teams. 
  • Strong technical background with the ability to get involved where necessary, this is very much a hands-on role. 
  • Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative work environment to achieve team goals. 
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments, technologies, and business requirements. 
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. 
  • Experience of working in a matrix management environment 
  • Performance Management 
  • Excellent stakeholder management. 
  • Passion for innovation and a commitment to shaping the future of public services. 
  • Security vetting and clearance maybe required.
