The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a motivated Junior to Mid-Level People Operations Partner (m/w/d) to join our People team and support our German operations during a parental leave cover. This role is based in Munich, and you’ll work closely with both local and international colleagues — you are not alone in Germany, but a key part of a distributed and collaborative People team.

This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who’s ready to take ownership, not just responsibility — someone who’s proactive, curious, and eager to grow. The scope of the role may evolve, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with change and excited by new challenges, especially where tech and data intersect with HR.

This role offers a hybrid work environment with three days a week in our Munich office.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position covering parental leave. The scope of the role may evolve based on business needs, and there is potential for extension.

Your Mission:
  • Be a trusted first point of contact for employees in Germany — providing timely, people-first HR support
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly German payroll, in partnership with our external provider
  • Handle day-to-day employee lifecycle processes: contracts, onboarding, changes, documentation, and offboarding.
  • Ensure all HR operations remain compliant with German labor law and internal policies
  • Maintain and improve employee data in our HRIS — accuracy, consistency, and usability are key
  • Generate and work with HR data and reports — you don’t need to be a data expert, but you must be comfortable working with numbers and drawing insights
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate HR processes — we encourage curiosity around AI agents and emerging technologies
  • Actively support change management initiatives as our team and tools evolve — be part of the solution, not just a participant
  • Collaborate with global People Ops colleagues to align practices and improve the employee experience across countries

What you need to succeed:
  • Experience in HR Operations or as an HR Generalist in Germany
  • A good understanding of German employment law, payroll processes, and HR compliance
  • A hands-on, detail-focused approach — you enjoy building and improving systems
  • Confidence working with HR data, Excel/Sheets, and reporting tools — curiosity and comfort with numbers is essential
  • A growth mindset — you’re curious, eager to learn, and open to experimenting with tools, especially around tech and AI in HR
  • Strong ownership mentality — you take initiative, drive topics forward, and don’t wait to be told what to do
  • Fluency in German and strong command of English, both written and spoken
