Principal IT Service Management Engineer

The ChallengeThe Principal ITSM Engineer at OneTrust will combine IT Service Management process and practice expertise with high technical acumen, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting ITSM practices and tooling across OneTrust. This individual will be tasked with the proactive and relentless pursuit of continuous process and service improvement to help ensure the elevation and overall success of ITIL-based ITSM practices including (but not limited to) Service Desk, IT Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Knowledge Management.
Your Mission- Work closely with stakeholders to design and document a cohesive set of ITSM processes, services, and metrics, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
- Evaluate and recommend ITSM tools, technologies, and solutions based on the assessed and continually evolving needs of stakeholders.
- Define ITSM architecture and create implementation requirements.
- Implement, customize, and continuously improve OneTrust’s suite of ITSM tools and services.
- Provide responsive and proactive support of ITSM tooling, taking corrective and preventative actions to resolve issues, risks, and gaps.
- Leverage cutting-edge technologies such as automation and AI provide a highly effective and optimized user experience.
- A highly technical IT Service Management expert with a deep understanding of ITSM systems, workflows, and best practices.
- An excellent, highly personable communicator and collaborator, with experience working with and supporting stakeholders across business units and functions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent process management skills; project and goal oriented with the ability to drive efforts from inception to production.
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing ITSM processes and technologies in an organization of over 2000 people.
- Deep knowledge of frameworks and solutions for ITSM practices such as service desk, IT asset management, change management, incident management, and knowledge management.
- Deep experience developing and administering ITSM services using tools such as Jira, OpsGenie, Oomnitza, Aisera, and/or similar.
- Strong technical support experience.
- Driven to deliver exceptional, highly reliable, and scalable services that will perform critical functions across a fast-growing organization.
- Able to independently manage multiple simultaneous tasks and projects effectively, quickly adapting to new situations and aligning to business needs.
- ITIL 4 Foundations certification (or higher).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with cloud-based IT infrastructure and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Azure AD, and MDM platforms (e.g. Workspace One, MS Intune).
- Recent experience leveraging AI bots for functions such as knowledge delivery and process automation.
