Position Overview:The Vice President/Principal of StepStone Real Estate in London will play a critical role in thesourcing, underwriting and asset management of real estate investments across StepStone’scommingled funds and discretionary accounts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Market coverage and origination capabilities with particular focus on Germany , France or theNordics
  • Lead investment real estate investment due diligence including property, market, manager,legal and structural factors
  • Manage investment committee process including development of detailed financialunderwriting models and investment memorandum reflecting the r esults of due diligence
  • Participate in document negotiation, structuring and documentation of investments withinternal and external legal support
  • Prepare and present detailed investment committee memoranda that document keyfindings, recommendations, risk s and merits of investment opportunities
  • Present new and existing investment opportunities to internal and external stakeholders

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting, or equivalent relevant exp erience .MBA or similar accreditation is a strong preference.
  • 10 + years of experience in real estate investment and/or capital markets roles

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Additional language skills with strong European network
  • Track record of m anaging real estate private equity transactions
  • Developed investment judgment with demonstrable understanding of risk/reward
  • Exceptional business writing with experience preparing investment committee memos
  • Strong financial modelling skills (capital struct ures and cash flow waterfalls)
  • Strong client communication skill and experience
