The Pioneer Programme

This role is part of the BC Pioneer Programme; a portfolio-wide community and learning & development programme built exclusively for the future leaders of our ventures and scale-ups.

When embarking on a Pioneer role within our portfolio, you will be exposed to an environment unlike any other and will have the opportunity have a tangible impact on a business going through a continuously evolving period of growth. Alongside your role, you will undertake an 18-month Red Team L&D programme, giving you access to learning materials, training and experts to help you to set up your own career adventure.

This approach is at the heart of the Pioneer programme vision, and both your venture and the Red Team are committed to working with you to help you excel.

The RoleKoodoo is looking for a Product Manager to lead on helping us explore innovative AI applications for the business and support us in taking our existing mortgage comparison platform to the next level. Successful candidates will find their time split between leading in exploring future utilisation of AI within the wider business, as well as working with the wider team to help us supercharge our market-leading mortgage comparison platform.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven proficiency in data-driven product development;
  • Solid foundational knowledge of UX best practices;
  • A strong curiosity to understand users and an interest in thinking creatively about how we can use insight to continue to build a market-leading product;
  • A good understanding of AI technologies and their applications;
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or a related role;
  • Experience building 0 to 1 products;
  • Proven track record developing products for B2B markets;
  • A solid understanding of monetisation strategies for SaaS products;
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers;
  • Experience working with Marketing to successfully launch products and features;
  • Strong proficiency in conducting A/B testing and presenting insights and outcomes to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • User-centric thinking: Create and maintain user data-driven user personas;
  • Data and metrics driven: Own, define and report against key product success metrics. Monitor the performance of Koodoo's current product offerings and identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Strategic insight: Use data analytics to identify opportunities for product optimisation and growth;
  • Roadmap ownership: Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and product designers, whilst maintaining a clear roadmap of work streams and releases;
  • Prioritisation: Prioritise work applicable to the product, evaluate the value and effort involved in delivering new functionality;
  • Feature specification: Work with members of Engineering teams to create clear, actionable and user-centric specifications;
  • Market research and competitor insights: Conduct market research and analysis to identify AI-based applications that can enhance Koodoo's products and services. Stay up-to-date with the latest AI technologies, trends, and best practices. Understand competitors’ product features and help Koodoo develop its competitive advantage.

The process:

We have a rigorous recruitment process which we use for all our roles to ensure we attract the very best and diverse talent. 

This will involve an initial telephone conversation, followed by a panel interview and a case study where you will meet with key stakeholders. The final interview will take place onsite with the CEO of the Venture you are applying for. We aspire for every person invited into an interview to find the process as interesting and engaging as we no doubt will.
