Sitting within the MongoDB Professional Services organization, the Services Sales Enablement Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for designing and developing enablement programs that support our Engagement Managers. The Services Sales Enablement team is a driving force behind our sales processes, playbooks, systems, and tools. We take a lead role in ensuring our sales professionals know how to leverage the tools available, setting them up to make a positive impact across their business.

The ideal candidate has an innate passion for coaching and a track record for developing services pipelines and strategic opportunities. Further, you share our relentless pursuit to remove the friction that arises through a deal cycle, ensuring our customers have a fantastic first impression of MongoDB PS.

We are looking to speak with candidates based on the east coast for this remote or hybrid role.

The Sales Enablement Manager will:
  • Stay abreast of products, features, and adoption scenarios. Your insights will inform the creation of in-depth services sales enablement content, processes, and playbooks that help EMs drive pipeline & position strategic services
  • Support and own the early ramp and ongoing growth of our Engagement Managers; you will work with peers to evaluate training requirements, focusing on evolving our onboarding curriculum to elevate new talent into our business
  • As a subject matter expert on PS offerings, capabilities, and messaging, you may find opportunities to support your Engagement Managers in navigating the services sales cycle, which will inform how we develop and mature our processes
  • Ensure that our services sellers have access to and know how to leverage systems, tools, and resources (marketing, product enablement) necessary to excel within their roles (e.g., internal or external e-learning, etc.)
  • Act as a “force multiplier”, inspiring collaboration and camaraderie throughout our global EM community by breaking down silos and fostering a unified culture of community excellence
  • Support internal marketing and evangelism efforts for professional services by building reusable marketing assets (e.g., deal stories, proof points) and working with PS Product Marketing to drive these stories across the field
Experience you'll need
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise technology professional services in a customer-facing role
  • 2+ years experience working in a SaaS company
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within complex, transformative services engagements and direct responsibility for overseeing customer outcomes, ensuring a seamless path to value
  • Experience in building, coaching, and managing peers either directly or indirectly
  • Keen adaptability to technology innovation with an ability to learn quickly in a rapid-growth, fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A “can-do” attitude and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into consumable and easy-to-understand frameworks and concepts to facilitate enablement
  • Ability to consult with and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and assert credibility with both technical and business teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High motivation for a role that requires soft and managerial skills to incept and drive change and improvement across the MongoDB PS organization
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills

In your first 60 days, you will 

  • Attend new hire sales training to learn about MongoDB’s technology, what we sell and how we sell
  • Learn about how MongoDB Professional Services helps customers adopt the MongoDB developer data platform, and gain familiarity with the entire suite of PS offerings
  • Familiarize yourself with the services sales methodology, organizational structure, and services sales-related IP
  • Gain proficiency with our services sales tools (e.g., Estimator, Bid Sheet, SOW Generator, SalesForce, Chorus, Highspot, MindTickle, Clari)
  • Identify gaps in our EM Enablement and suggest opportunities to improve on these gaps
Within 120 Days, you will
  • Be engaged in the day-to-day onboarding of Global EMs 
  • Shadow services sales calls and intimately understand the activities and outputs produced throughout our sales phases
  • Collaborate with the sales, customer success, and delivery organizations, developing key relationships that will one day drive deeper integrations of PS into our customer base
As you grow, you will
  • Identify opportunities to optimize content, tools, and processes while feeling confident to present and back up your suggestions
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to integrate PS into enablement programs for the broader Sales team
  • Partner with PS Product Marketing to create several PS marketing assets (e.g., deal stories, proof points, customer case studies) and define processes for the sustainable production of such assets

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$84,000—$165,000 USD
