As a Project Manager Intern at AKQA, you'll be immersed in the day-to-day rhythm of a world-class digital agency. Supporting the delivery team, you’ll help manage the full lifecycle of creative and digital projects, from concept to launch, while gaining exposure to global clients, cutting-edge work, and cross-functional teams. It’s a unique opportunity to take ownership, build confidence, and explore the dynamic world of creative project delivery.
Located on the Herengracht canal in central Amsterdam, you will work in an environment that fosters a dynamic and meritocratic culture, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in their fields.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
As a valued member of the Delivery team, you’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities and support. You can expect to:
- Support the day-to-day coordination of live projects across a range of creative and digital briefs, including external calls and stakeholder management as well as co-ordinating internal project calls.
- Help build and maintain project timelines, task lists, and status trackers that keep the team aligned.
- Work directly with strategists, creatives, designers to bring ideas to life.
- Own small project pipelines with guidance, tracking deliverables, organising documentation, and helping steer work toward completion.
- Contribute to the team’s success: your attention to detail, clarity, and energy will help projects run smoothly and enable teams do their best work.

QUALITIES AND CHARASTERISTICS
- A passion for digital, marketing and excellent work; an ability to identify potential, nurture it, and influence to drive work forward.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine interest in digital, creative, or strategic work.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Spreadsheet, Jira, Figma) or the creative process is a plus.
EU working rights are required. Either through a EU Citizenship or Study Programme in the Netherlands.
This is a 5 days a week internship for a duration of 6 months.
