Joining Collibra’s Revenue Accounting team
  • The Revenue Accounting team is responsible for processing revenue transactions and building and maintaining scalable revenue recognition processes to ensure the accurate reporting of revenue on the company’s financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • The Revenue Accountant will report directly to the Manager (Revenue Accounting) and will be responsible for processing revenue transactions, preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end close activities, assisting with external audit, providing ad-hoc technical accounting assessments and supporting process/system enhancement projects.  
  • The team is looking to expand with someone who embodies our “We are one Collibra” core value, as the position will also require cross-collaboration with other teams to continuously build and scale interdependent processes and functions.  
Revenue Accountants at Collibra are responsible for:
  • Assessing the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements, products and guidance pronouncements 
  • Preparing month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and providing monthly close deliverables
  • Challenging the “status quo” and initiating process improvements to streamline revenue processes and shorten close timelines
  • Supporting system implementations and testing system changes related to revenue processes
  • Preparing audit support for external and internal audits
You have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to apply ASC 606 
  • Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.
  • Experience with software revenue recognition a plus
  • Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Measures of success:
  • Within your first month, you will understand Collibra’s quote-to-cash cycle and processes related to revenue recognition
  • Within your third month, you will be a contributing member of the revenue team assessing revenue contracts for accounting implications, processing transactions, providing month-end close deliverables and assisting with external audits   
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a comprehensive understanding of our revenue recognition processes and systems and the ability to identify and initiate process improvements 
Compensation for this role 

The standard base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $121,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
