HashiCorp India Finance Center of Excellence:

HashiCorp has its Finance Centre of Excellence in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India to help HashiCorp’s USA Headquarter and 15+ other countries where we have our legal entities. From India, we are independently handling / supporting multiple processes that include GL Accounting, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Accounting, Internal Controls, Payroll, Taxation, Travel Administration, FP&A, Reporting, etc.

About the role:

The Finance team is seeking Senior Revenue Accountants in order to support our growing Finance and Accounting organization. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking for a broad range of revenue responsibilities within a hyper-growth software technology company.

Responsibilities:

• Review Software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales contracts for compliance and revenue implications under ASC 606 / IFRS 15
• Work on month-end revenue close by validating accruals, preparing revenue account reconciliations, journal entries, conducting fluctuation analyses and reporting disclosures
• Provide insight on the appropriate revenue recognition for large or complex contracts with customers
• Draft or maintain revenue accounting memos including write-ups on large and complex deals
• Review and monitor Annual Contract Value and Annual Recurring Revenue calculations 
• Maintain internal control documentation and assist with revenue process development
• Help in the internal and statutory audit
• Coordinate with Finance team based out of San Francisco, CA, USA for extension of accounting processes to India and train the team on related topics
• Work as an individual contributor and be responsible for end-to-end Revenue Accounting for a few geographical regions.
• Setup SLAs in coordination with onshore team and ensure the delivery based on the same
• Other ad-hoc projects as required

Learning Opportunities:

• Exposure to complex Software and SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Support from finance management team that has years of technical accounting and revenue experience

Requirements: 

• Should be a Chartered Accountant having 2+ years of experience with a good academic record and Articleship from a renowned CA firm or B.Com / M.Com / MBA with 6+ experience with focused experience in Revenue Accounting operations 
• Experience in public accounting including Software and SaaS revenue recognition experience under ASC 606 or IFRS 15
• Implementation of revenue accounting process basis ASC 606 in a Software and SaaS based organization an advantage
• People working with Big 4 will be a plus
• Experience working with NetSuite a plus 
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills 
• Strong experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Should be ready to work in flexible working hours.
