Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior Digital Asset Systems Product Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the digital asset management system and our existing media asset management system within our in-house Media Content Services department located in Plantation, FL. As the Senior DAS Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing our best-in-class media management systems, train users, and establish standards for all content projects across Chewy. We are looking for an individual with a proactive mindset, a bias to action, and a keen understanding of Digital Asset Management systems (DAM) within a marketing/production environment. This individual will drive innovation and excellence in our media content services department and across the enterprise.

What you'll do:

  • Create and Execute Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for Media Content Services DAM/MAM, outlining key milestones and objectives to enhance asset workflows.
  • Train: Must have the ability to communicate complex subjects to a variety of users and create useful training material to inform and maintain proper use of all systems.
  • Hands-On Experience: Lead the taxonomy/schema design, define best practices for implementation and training for all asset systems, ensuring seamless integration across Media Content Services technology.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: troubleshoot, create validation processes, Lead QC metadata and content, actively seeking opportunities for improvement. Act as a proactive problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks in asset production workflows, developing strategies to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
  • Escalation and Collaboration: Act as a point of escalation for critical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolution. Foster open communication with peers and leaders in the Post-Production and Technolgy partners.
  • User-Centric Approach: Gather and evaluate user feedback, recommending and executing improvements to enhance the user experience.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for reference and reporting. Ensure consistent source control on projects and perform routine backups to maintain service continuity.
  • Technology Evolution: Stay abreast of technological advancements, working with vendors on software improvements that impact all technology within the Media Content Services.
  • Trust Building: Earn trust through active and nuanced communication, both with peers throughout the Studio teams and leaders across the Chewy matrix.

What you'll need:

  • Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience in a Marketing/post-production environment or similar role.
  • Experience building and maintaining Media Asset (Photo & Video) Workflows in an E-Commerce Environment
  • Hands on experience with Taxonomy and Schema design
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of DAM platforms like Bynder and Adobe AEM-DAM along with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Communication/Training: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Resourcefulness: Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude, with a deep passion for asset management workflows.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-driven, with the ability to anticipate workflow needs in a quick-turn environment.
  • Flexibility: Thrive in an ever-developing, fast-paced environment, willing to be flexible and pivot as needed. Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a team player in a production team, contributing to creative problem-solving and actively participating in collaborative efforts.
  • Critical Thinking: Active listener with a strong ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
  • Positive Attitude: Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills, coupled with a positive, can-do attitude.
