Databricks is looking for a high performing Senior Manager, Treasury to join our Finance team in our mission to help data teams solve the world's toughest problems. The Senior Manager, Treasury leads our Treasury team and will oversee the day to day cash management of our global operations – this includes ensuring the business has the right amount of cash in every location for every payment while minimizing the risk to cash & investments on our balance sheet. As a Company in hyper-growth mode our cash needs are constantly expanding, in direct relation to our global revenues, to both new markets & existing markets. Helping us scale for the future will require a hands-on leader who can develop treasury initiatives that are best for the business – the Senior Manager will communicate with cross functional stakeholders and senior management on why each project is the best decision for the Company. This is an excellent opportunity to play an important leadership role in a high growth organization building the Treasury function. You will report to the Senior Director of Tax.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop best in class cash operations: evaluate new banking products and services, continue evolving global cash management strategy to align with company's strategic visions
  • Possesses a good understanding of treasury products and solutions that can be leveraged to make strategic decisions that help scale for a business that is growing revenue >50% annually
  • Collaborate with our accounting teams to manage our global cash needs to fund international operations and minimize foreign exchange risk on our intercompany balances
  • Work closely with finance leadership to manage our investment portfolio weighing risk & cash funding requirements with opportunities for additional yield
  • Partner with FP&A to drive efficiencies and accuracy in our cash flow forecasting process and improve cash & investment reporting to senior executives & our audit committee
  • Create and/or improve treasury processes and implement system or process improvements to support hyper-growth at scale, working with business partners to facilitate key cross-functional initiatives
  • Keep current on regulatory developments and requirements and lead adoption and compliance (ex: FBAR, FATCA, DF, etc). Manage SOX and audit compliance
  • Team with corporate development on M&A related activities including funds flows and integration plans
  • Assess our foreign exchange exposures and build out a hedging strategy to minimize FX effect on operating expenses and funding international operations

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or comparable field
  • 8+ years of Treasury or broad finance experience with multinational corporations; familiarity with the software industry and SaaS business-models are appreciated
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and find solutions that put Databricks first
  • Experience managing large scale banking relationships (60+ global bank accounts with 8+ banking partners)
  • High Competency in Excel and Google Sheets; can maintain complex spreadsheets that connect to multiple output formats for financial & leadership reporting purposes
  • Experience with GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics and related adjustments to cash flows – this includes experience working with our accounting partners on monthly close processes
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improving the quality and internal stakeholder satisfaction with the Treasury Operations processes to be the trusted advisor our internal stakeholders can rely on
  • Facilitate streamlined reporting, dashboards and financial modeling to support sound decision making while ensuring consistency in format and delivery
  • Develop/revise and implement business controls, policies, procedures and best practices to maximize performance & de-risk our cash positions & transactions

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$148,800—$263,200 USD
