We are looking for a colleague that enjoys operational B2B sales at highest levels, and has a fine sense for the potential growth of our business areas.

In this role, you will leverage your industry knowledge and strong strategic and operational skills to help us in executing effective sales operations that will drive growth and success. 

Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales, Marketing & Loyalty, as well as other key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in making critical business decisions, developing winning strategies, identifying client requirements and analyzing and securing new business opportunities.

Your mission

In your role at appliedAI, you quickly develop a strong understanding of our purpose, customer challenges, products, competition, industry and trends as well as our B2B Customer Journey and its processes. You will be responsible for strategic and operational tasks in the area of business development & sales, you help us grow through lifting our customers to advanced stages of AI implementation. 

  • You are responsible for discovering the match between our products/services and the market, in dialogue with potential and existing customers and thus work operationally along all sales funnel stages.

  • You contribute to the right course for appliedAI, collaborating with Finance, Marketing, Product Development as well as the Management - guided by the question “Why customers buy”. Sometimes on a small scale to maintain the competitiveness of established businesses and business models. Sometimes on a large scale, when new business areas are rolled out or new markets are opened up.

  • You translate your results into a scalable customer centric marketing and sales effort and act as a connector between marketing and our other stakeholders.

  • You help us to set up and run a data driven operating business development, sales and marketing model that can ensure predictable growth and revenue generation. On a daily basis, you contribute by regularly curating and updating our CRM system Hubspot. 

Your profile

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of previous experience in customer centric Sales (technical B2B environment would a plus)
  • Experience in sales operations, including reporting
  • Experience in pricing technical services and products paired with a strong interest in the AI Market and its development
  • Strong analytical skills: You recognize business-related trends and their interpretation, especially B2B buying patterns.
  • Exceptional communication skills: You are an open, curious person and team player but you do not shy away from factual discussions.
  • Experience in working in an agile team environment 
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic international environment, where your work directly impacts company results
  • Experience in the using CRM and related BD tools
  • Proficiency in German and English language (e.g. C1 level)
