Role:  Social Media and Influencer Manager (12 month FTC with view to extend)

Location:  Amsterdam, Netherlands

 

About the role: 

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Social Media and Influencer Manager to join our innovative in-house agency team in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in driving the owned and earned presence of two global ice cream brands by shaping and executing social media and influencer strategies. In this fast-paced role, you will work closely with the Social Lead and Influencer Lead to integrate advanced AI technologies into our marketing efforts, and a Content Creator to execute a "social-first" approach that resonates with our audience. As part of a newly established integrated agency team at the forefront of marketing innovation, you'll collaborate with brand teams to translate strategy into social concepts that cut through the noise.  

What you will be doing: 

Social Media Management 

  • Creating and implementing a multi-channel social growth strategy with the support of the Social Lead to drive an increase in channel following, reach, engagement and conversion, focusing on our core channels IG and TT.  
  • Support in execution of social strategy, using both traditional insights and AI-powered tools to drive efficiencies. 
  • Developing a TikTok-specific strategy to optimise work on the platform, drive brand awareness and engage new audiences in innovative ways 
  • Nurture the brand community and think ‘community-first’ - listen and respond to relevant earned and owned community comments and questions to drive engagement. 
  • Tracking KPIs and delivering regular reports to the brand team/wider business on how we can improve channel performance 
  • Collaborate with content creator to create winning social content for Instagram and TikTok, occasionally attending shoots across Europe 
  • Own and manage organic content calendars, including writing copy in brand tone of voice and creating briefs for content creator 
  • Identify opportunities for the brand to surprise and delight its audience 
  • Manage and nurture a network of brand advocates (or our ‘Brand 100’), identifying key engagement opportunities in organic planning 

Influencer Management 

  • Working closely with Influencer Lead and influencer agencies to provide local market expertise on influencer shortlists and initatives. 
  • Implementing influencer marketing strategies within local market, developing influencer plans to drive meaningful brand conversation.  
  • Working collaboratively with influencer agencies to translate briefs for your local market (NL) understanding cultural nuances and feeding back to wider team. 
  • Liaising with select influencers in local language (Dutch) to onboard and drive rapport for campaign success 
  • Suggesting best in class content ideas and copy to drive success within local influencer marketing plans 

Client partnership 

  • Act as primary liaison for day to day management of social accounts, championing social best practice and expertise. 
  • Receive and interrogate briefs from clients and supporting in brief development to creative teams and influencer partners. 
  • Help to craft Tone of Voice guidance for FAQ and copy for brand’s social channels 
  • Support in development in social channel strategy workstreams 
  • Present content ideas and brand social strategy to clients 

Innovation & Technology:

  • Champion the integration of AI technologies in influencer marketing and social media planning, listening, ideation, execution and reporting. 
  • Explore and implement new ways to leverage AI for content ideating, planning and execution.  

Collaboration & Integration:

  • Collaborate with the social media lead, social strategist, influencer lead and content creator to ensure execution is driven by strategy 
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in both influencer marketing and AI-powered social media 
  • Provide local cultural guidance to integrated agency teams to ensure campaign strategy and approach is localised 
What you need to be great in this role: 
  • 3-4 years of experience in social media management and influencer marketing, with demonstrated success in effective social media and influencer campaign development, particularly on TikTok and Instagram 
  • Strong interest in AI technologies in marketing 
  • Experience of working with major consumer brands 
  • Socially savvy, with an understanding of the influencer landscape and social media platforms 
  • An understanding of content creation and production processes with an innate ability to spot what makes good social content  
  • Stakeholder management and communication 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Data-driven approach to social media planning and optimisation 
  • Fluent in English and Dutch 
  • A passion for or experience within the food and drinks category
