ROLE MISSION

Partnering with our client, you, the Social Copywriter, will need experience crafting copy for various social channels. A deep understanding of social media trends and tactics is essential. You’ll create engaging content that informs, inspires, and converts seamlessly. Sometimes, a well-placed emoji speaks volumes.Much like a traditional Copywriter role, you'll value impeccable grammar and clean formatting, and you'll be adept at proofreading both your own and others' work. Strong presentation skills are a must. You’ll confidently present to both internal teams and clients, bringing your ideas clearly and concisely to life.

At IIG, we build agency teams to work in-house in partnership with brands. This role will be sitting within the digital and social team we’ve created, working with a range of global-level clients and local markets around the world. We work within a hybrid set-up, which includes being present at the OLIVER office in Rosebery Avenue two days a week.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Answer a variety of briefs (primarily web and social) with impactful copy 
  • Write original copy, engaging and brand-aligned copy for our client’s website, including product descriptions, campaign, landing pages, flavour profiles and CTAs 
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas, in collaboration with a Digital Designer, Strategist and UX Designer to ensure your copy integrates with the overall website experience 
  • Stay up-to-date on web copy best practice, including SEO and accessibility requirements 
  • Be able to interpret content insights provided to use by the analytics team and make recommendations for how to improve copy and content accordingly 
  • Act as a guardian of the TOV of your brand, working closely with the team to ensure consistency and accuracy. 
  • Work as part of a team that supports global and regional clients in creating and delivering outstanding digital products and websites, that drive our brand reputation and deliver business results. 
  • Presenting your work internally and to clients.  

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • 4-6 years of copywriting experience working in a digital agency or marketing team. 
  • Experience working with beverage / spirits brands or retail/ FMCG brands or luxury brands is a plus. 
  • A team player and possess the ability to build strong and effective working relationships 
  • The ability to craft copy across all media, adapting your writing style to the different creative outputs. 
  • Are self-motivated, proactive and collaborative, with a positive attitude and great communication skills. 
  • Write copy that is inclusive and easy to understand by everyone, regardless of their abilities.
