Listings Backend Team 

The Listing Backend team’s mission is to enable Host journey success by implementing the backend functionality to power the Listing platforms LYS and MYS. The team works closely with the Client, Product team, Design team, they partner together to define the requirements and bring them to life. This team also works closely with the functional teams (Partner API, Pricing, etc.) as they share dependencies related to the Listing domain. The Listings Backend team consistently supports the releases of Airbnb, which directly contributes to the company’s success.

The Difference You Will Make

Your day-to-day responsibilities includes:

  • Working with senior members on the team, develop and continuously improve our next generation listing platform and work to integrate it with other tech 2.0 initiatives.
  • Work closely with product teams and cross functional partners to formalize  listing core features, such as Address and Rooms & Spaces.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure smooth and successful product feature launches.
  • Ensure high availability, high performance of our business critical services.
Your Expertise:
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in one or more JVM based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.) are preferred
  • Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale data applications is a plus.
  • Experiences of distributed systems, data stores, data modeling, indexing and associated trade-offs is a plus.
  • Passion for learning. Our team touches the whole backend stack of Airbnb and collaborates extensively with other teams, quick learning and strong communication skills is a must.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$153,000—$184,900 USD
