Join our dynamic team as a Sr Data Scientist, where you’ll play a pivotal role at the intersection of data science, business intelligence, and Tableau development. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and working with our enterprise data warehouse team to deliver actionable insights through sophisticated data visualizations.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Meet with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements into a Business Requirement Document (BRD).
  • Collaborate with the data engineering teams to ensure datasets are available and accurate in Snowflake and Hive.
  • Perform ETL operations on raw data to prepare it for analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau tailored to stakeholders’ needs.
  • Present analytical findings and visualizations to stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of the data insights.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain the dashboards and visualizations for consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns in data to provide strategic recommendations.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries independently.
  • Experience in Tableau, including dashboard creation, customization, and publishing.
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow for automating data pipelines using Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and identify potential risks and pitfalls.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into data solutions.
  • Experience in performing ETL processes and managing data in Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms.
  • Strong ability to communicate data insights to stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
