The role

We are looking for a highly driven Sr. Director Branding with strong experience in top leadership positions at communications & advertising agencies or at companies brand departments.

This leader will not only guide the development of a bold and powerful strategic vision for our brands, but turn this vision into inspiring and effective creative output. When deploying the creative vision for our brands, our Sr. Director Branding will be the driver of new, transformative strategic brand initiatives and ensure all brands within our portfolio are positioned in the most powerful way to reach our diverse audiences and build deeper, more meaningful relationships with them. They must continuously thrive to apply modern research techniques in order to carve out consumer tensions and insights so we are becoming a part of people’s daily lives.

What you’ll do
  • Ignite market-leading innovations in digital and social strategy 
  • Increase performance: utilizing the most advanced thinking and approaches to deliver incremental improvements on ROI
  • Defining strategies for our portfolio of brands to become the most advanced, efficient and effective brands in the territories in which they operate
  • Support leaders across the business to develop and test new strategies and oversee plans to deliver successful, ROI-positive approaches alongside current activity
  • Innovate our offering working closely with tech, creative, media and analytics to ensure we are delivering market-leading strategic approaches to our stakeholders
  • Support partners across the business with strategic guidance and best practice training
  • Serve as a thought leader across the business on topics of planning, strategy and innovation across our key areas such as tech, data, media and creative
  • You will be the expert in understanding of digital paid media and data and digital advertising data sources, including advanced attribution methodologies, third party tracking and measurement/campaign management technology
What you’ll bring
  • 15+ years experience in advertising, branding and innovation
  • Leadership of large, multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working in and loving a tech/start-up environment
  • Advanced understanding of social media data sources, including paid and organic data
  • Advanced skills with Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, Twitter Ads and Pinterest Ads
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex subjects simply
  • You're a driven and convincing leader and a collaborative partner to others at the same time
  • Solid skills on the analytical side of brand research
  • Proven track record in building and creating the respective company’s brand(s) strategies, resulting in game changing output in traditional and digital media, design (brand design, packaging, etc.) and performance marketing - including a detailed understanding of the new media landscape, relevant business strategies and the world of consumer insights. 

This role is based in Berlin — relocation support will be provided.
