Databricks is looking for a motivated Sr. Manager to join our Strategy & Operations team to strengthen our product-focused planning and execution, provide strategic analysis, and instill operational thoughtfulness in our successful and fast-growing GTM teams

You will use data and qualitative information to help our Sales and Field Engineering Leadership manage the business with a specific focus on Platform health and adoption. This includes serving as a strategic partner for VP-level GTM leaders, supporting essential aspects of our GTM design and annual planning process, building our data and analytics foundation (including executive reporting), and providing health of business reviews. You will work with our Field Engineering, Sales, Product, Finance, Data, Partnerships, and other GTM teams. You will report to the Director of FE Strategy and Ops.

The impact you will have:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner for both Sales and Field Engineering leadership
  • Lead executive analyses, strategies, and deliverables (e.g., board materials, QBR)
  • Guide annual GTM planning process (FY and long-range modeling, KPI setting, HC planning)
  • Provide operational visibility and performance tracking against targets (weekly reviews, async updates)
  • Generate deep dives into performance trends with/action-oriented outcomes
  • Spearhead GTM operations for new products and partnerships, providing reporting, insights, and recommendations
  • Drive necessary GTM changes to scale new initiatives, working with varying x-functional teams
  • Provide a scalable framework for assessing platform health
  • Inform and enhance product roadmap with voice of the field and quantitative analysis
  • Improve GTM visibility into product roadmap and feature releases

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of strategy & operations experience (Investment banking, strategy consulting, FP&A, business operations, Enterprise/Mid-Market SaaS experience)
  • Leadership and confidence to support VP-level GTM stakeholders
  • Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems
  • Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers
  • Data expert: Querying and scoping (SQL, Databricks, BigQuery), analysis (Excel), summarizing (pivot tables, charts, slides, written explanation), reporting (dashboards, repositories)
  • Process expert: Envision E2E process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, document requirements, guide execution in partnership with IT, perform UAT, and report on progress
  • Proficient in BI and sales tools (eg: Salesforce, Tableau etc.)
  • Passion for building and working in a high-performance global team
  • A fondness for customer service and patience

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
