As a Staff Operations Analyst, you will play a key role across Okta’s Engineering, Product and Design organization. You’ll partner with EPD leaders, Finance and Strategic Sourcing to onboard and maximize software utilization and investigate operational behavior for forecasting exercises. You will support other cross-functional projects as needed and work across the organization to implement and refine process improvements to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own internal requirements gathering across Engineering teams; partner with Finance to finalize budgets.
• Represent Engineering throughout the Procurement cycle, collaborating with Sourcing, Legal, and Security on contract reviews.
• Work with the organization to assess fit and rationalize software spend. Manage purchase order amendments and partner with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies/processing.
• Audit and report software usage/cost variances to inform Budget and Finance teams.
• Analyze business usage and cost to inform fiscal year forecasting; assess risk and favorability to contractual obligations.
• Special projects may include capacity planning and personnel analyses.

 Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant experience in Program/Project management, Operations and Vendor Engagement.
• Basics of Cloud computing and Software as a Service experience
• Strong business requirements gathering skills
• Familiarity with Procurement processes and software
• Strong project management skills
• Possess the ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and professionally
• Operates with a high degree of independence, influence, and accountability
• Operates with discretion and maintains confidentiality
• Ability to operate with careful execution, assertiveness and creative problem-solving practices
• Ability to learn quickly on a fast-paced team supporting highly technical areas
• Ability to be innovative, creative and open minded
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort communicating with senior leadership and across functional lines
• Expertise with collaboration tools (G-Suite, Zoom, Slack, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience in technical or engineering organizations is a plus

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$142,000—$212,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $158,000—$238,000 USD
