Strategic Events Coodinator

The Strategic Events Coordinator, Third Party Events - will be a critical member of the Strategic Events team, with a particular focus on executing third party conferences and tradeshows. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Strategic Events Sr. Manager, the broader Strategic Events team, and other cross-functional teams to plan and execute a wide range of event marketing programs, with a significant focus on conferences and tradeshows that amplify awareness of MongoDB’s developer data platform. You will assist in supporting end-to-end planning and execution of the Strategic Events third party event portfolio. This person should also be ready to jump in where needed by the broader Strategic Events team in executing its global events docket. This role can be based remotely in the North America region.
Position Expectations- Assist with end-to-end event coordination and project planning, including but not limited to: materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, email drafts, contract negotiation, vendor relations, vendor management, contracting, agenda creation, staffing, and post-event follow up
- Create and continually update presentation decks, project plans, and timelines
- Assist with post-event results reporting, evaluation, and optimization
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (field/regional/strategic marketing, DevRel, engineering, executive support, and others) to drive alignment, maximum visibility, and enablement around leveraging third party programs
- Effectively manage multiple budgets with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage on-site execution of a set of events, assist execution where needed (requires 20-30% global travel)
- 1+ years experience managing conferences, tradeshows, or other events marketing programs
- 2+ years managing multiple projects/events at a time
- Proven ability to take direction and input from multiple stakeholders to develop unique, impactful, and engaging experiences that align to broader organizational goals
- Strong multi-project management skills with high accountability for delivering to deadlines
- Proactive, self-starter, “get it done” attitude; capable of working independently and knows when to ask the right questions
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and project plans simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, effective note-taking and organizational skills
- Strong skills in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
- A flexible and solution-oriented mindset with excellent time management skills
- Experience with software like Tableau/Sigma, Wrike, Splashthat, Iterable
- Comfort with using or learning tools including Salesforce, Slack, Zoom
- An obsessive love for lists, Excel sheets, and details

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$42,000—$83,000 USD
