About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Strategic Initiatives Senior Director to join our team. The Strategic Initiatives team leads strategic alignment and operational execution of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives coming out of Crunchyroll's Emerging Businesses team. Emerging Businesses at Crunchyroll includes Business Development, eCommerce and Games, and this role requires close coordination across both Emerging Businesses and the broader Crunchyroll team. Reporting to our Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, in this highly visible role you will partner with senior leadership on many of the highest priority projects for us. We ask that you collaborate and communicate cross-functionally with different teams, external partners, and the wider ecosystem.

• You will manage a comprehensive process to define strategy and scope execution plans for identified strategic initiatives
• You will validate strategy and execution plans with senior leadership, implementing feedback
• You will collaborate with senior leaders to complete strategic initiatives and on-budget, achieving our goals
• You will participate in annual and long range strategic planning processes side by side with Emerging Businesses leaders, working across businesses and responsibilities to frame strategy, drive agreement on main initiatives, and guide resource allocation
• You will ensure the most important and impactful strategic questions relevant to the Emerging Businesses team and the company are being understood and addressed
• You will develop deep relationships with business unit and functional area leaders and work with them to support important strategic initiatives
• You will support execution of strategic initiatives, including project planning, recurring communication, and adjustments as new information is learned

About You

• You have a minimum of 10+ years of corporate strategy and operations experience. Consulting or finance experience a plus
• You have exceptional strategic planning, problem solving, and decision making skills
• You have experience presenting to, communicating with, and collaborating with C-level leadership
• You develop deep, trust-based relationships and influence and communicate effectively throughout the organization
• You have experience tailoring communications to a broad range of internal and external audiences
• You balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines
• You are a self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity
• You have high level of curiosity about media and consumer entertainment

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
