We are looking for a passionate trader to join Jump’s centralized trading team. The centralized nature of the team leads to extensive collaboration across many departments at Jump including, but not limited to, the trading teams themselves. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, analytical mind and operational experience. This is an opportunity for someone who can leverage his skills into a role that will have a bottom-line impact on a global level and also offer a platform to be exposed to the world of financial markets and trading.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage daily automated trading systems in a variety of market conditions
  • Work closely with trading teams, evaluate and provide feedback on observed behaviors and patterns of strategies and market conditions
  • Monitor live trading for operational issues to ensure a best-of-breed monitoring environment and quickly respond to unusual behaviors or market conditions that may affect successful execution of trading strategies
  • Serve as an advisor across different departments, providing new and innovative solutions for the complex problems we face
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve trading operation issues and processes for day to day trading activities
  • Communicate with support staff, brokers and exchanges to resolve day to day trading issues
  • Carefully document procedures and log production issues as they occur
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You’ll Need:    

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 
  • National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) certification: NISM-Series XVI or MCX MCCP Certification
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong exposure to a broad range of traded products in the Indian electronic trading venues
  • The ability to work in an accurate, structured way and with a sense of urgency under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Confidence to work within a context of complex tasks and problem solve under direction but also able to take the right amount of initiative
  • Must be willing to do shift work
  • Reliable and predictable availability
