2024 Venture Capital – Growth Strategy Summer Analyst

Position Overview
The Portfolio Impact Summer Analyst will work alongside the Portfolio Impact team to support our direct and underlying portfolio companies through strategic business and corporate development. The Portfolio Impact team spends considerable time engaging with the firm’s portfolio companies to understand their priorities and builds a network relevant to their interests. The team then leverages this network to forge mutually beneficial connections for the firm’s portfolio companies.
This unique role provides meaningful exposure to some of the top investors and operators within the venture capital asset class. Further, the Summer Analyst position is an excellent opportunity to gather perspective on the venture industry and learn about different facets of the business. Throughout the internship, participants will build skills that will be valuable in an investing, operating, or advisory context.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct market research and competitive analyses for portfolio companies: Gather and analyze industry data, identify key trends, and assess competitive landscapes to inform portfolio companies' strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in preparing portfolio company presentations and pitches: Help develop compelling presentations and pitches that effectively communicate the company's value proposition, market opportunity, and financial projections to potential investors and partners.
- Support portfolio company fundraising efforts: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential funding sources, preparing investor materials, and scheduling meetings with potential investors.
- Coordinate and manage portfolio company events: Help organize and execute networking events, workshops, and seminars for portfolio companies, facilitating connections with industry experts, potential customers, and partners.
- Assist in developing and implementing growth strategies for portfolio companies: Conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to portfolio companies on strategies for expanding their market reach, increasing customer acquisition, and improving operational efficiency.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Graduate in December 2024 or Spring 2025
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- GPA of 3.2 or above
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, math, or a business-related field
- Exposure to technology and/or venture capital strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of academic and professional success

- Compelling and charismatic communicator who is comfortable interfacing with senior executives
- Strong understanding of and interest in technology and venture ecosystem; pays close attention to technology trends and can articulate prospective long-term implications for the industry
