Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

We’re growing the value of OVO, working with corporate partners to acquire customers and increase the uptake of products that move us along the path to zero. 

 

This role in a nutshell:

The purpose of this role is to manage OVO Strategic partnerships, building commercial value for OVO as well as the partner. This role is essential to the success of the Commercial Growth team and unlocking new customers.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • You will be the key Account Manager for OVO’s Strategic partnerships and will be responsible for the overall growth and management of a number of key accounts.
  • You will build and develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, influencing them to achieve ambitious results. 
  • You will own the commercial targets, performance and be a champion for your partners across the OVO business.
  • You will seek out opportunities to grow accounts beyond what is already in plan by using a forward thinking approach.
  • You’ll be expected to represent your partners across the business and influence key internal stakeholders to invest in the continued growth of the partnerships you represent.
  • You will be data driven, taking insights and turning them into optimisations to improve the overall success and profitability of the partnership.
  • You will have experience in digital marketing including affiliate marketing and a good understanding of marketing your products through third party partner channels.

Within your first 3 months month you’ll:

  • Be embedded within the OVO culture and Account Management team, plus the key stakeholders both internally as well as externally.. 
  • Co-create your account plans with stakeholders for your partners which has been agreed upon by all parties involved in its delivery. 
  • Know the numbers required to hit and exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly growth targets. 
  • You will have met all key stakeholders around the business and built confidence in your leadership in your accounts. 

 

You’ll be a successful Account Manager at OVO if you…

  • Can demonstrate having worked with a FTSE 100 sized organisation in the past 
  • Are familiar with working with regulated products (FCA in particular)
  • Are comfortable prioritising between multiple projects. Between projects, people and performance - there will be a lot of variety; you’re able to keep on top of it all and are timely in delivery.
  • Love beating targets and supporting accounts to achieve their potential. You’ll be responsible for the performance of a key area for OVO and need to deliver through others. 
  • You have a passion for marketing through partner channels, with experience developing and optimising performance with demonstrable success
  • You thrive in combining customer, partner and commercial needs to create your strategies for taking products out to market and are comfortable articulating them
  • You are driven by the data and are endlessly curious in seeking the best ways to optimise performance through a test and learn framework 
  • Build positive relationships with senior partners, internal and external - it’s a high profile role where clear communication and  engagement is key to success
  • Are comfortable having honest conversations
  • Are adaptable, flexible and comfortable with changes outside of your control

We’ll pay you between £42,000 and £50,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
