AI & HPC Technical Sales Executive

This hybrid role combines elements of Strategic Sales Account Management and Technical Expertise, offering a unique opportunity to lead in the AI and HPC domain by bridging business development with advanced technical solutions. You will drive Pure Storage’s success in the rapidly evolving AI and HPC market by aligning customer needs with innovative solutions, building deep relationships, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Evangelize Pure Storage’s enterprise storage technology and data solutions, emphasizing their value in advancing AI and HPC workloads.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets and build a robust pipeline of sales activity.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and develop relationships with key decision-makers within enterprise organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and attend industry events.
  • Influence the product roadmap by providing feedback from market insights and customer engagements.

 

Technical Expertise and Engagement:

  • Partner with account managers, channel partners, and product specialists to create a holistic customer strategy.
  • Conduct technical walkthroughs, deep dives, and proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate the value of Pure’s solutions in AI and HPC workflows.
  • Develop technical content, including qualification guides and customer-facing materials, to support AI and HPC opportunities.
  • Translate customer requirements into innovative, scalable solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Lead customer-facing demos, engineering sizing sessions, and discussions around distributed storage architectures, file systems, and AI/HPC frameworks.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise-level customers, ensuring the highest satisfaction ratings in the industry.
  • Collaborate closely with sales engineers, customer success teams, and leadership to refine strategies, messaging, and processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by staying at the forefront of AI industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align on initiatives and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Engage with engineering and technical marketing teams to produce thought leadership materials, such as white papers and webinars.
  • Drive post-sales support to ensure customer success and accelerate adoption.
  WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE ROLE...

Sales and Business Development:

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a focus on AI, HPC, and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales quotas.
  • Clear experience selling complex solutions to C-Suite and senior executives at Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML services.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), high-performance compute environments (GPU, ASIC, FPGA), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Slurm).
  • Experience with storage architectures, distributed computing, and AI/HPC infrastructure requirements.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, big data technologies, and unstructured data applications.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in handling complex engineering designs and customer requirements.
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Other:

  • Ability to travel as required to support customer and partner engagements.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
