Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking an Associate Director Business Operations, reporting to the GM of Consumables. This is a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of Chewy’s business, build strong cross-functional relationships with senior leaders, and drive meaningful impact at an organizational level. This leader will be a thought partner to the Consumables leadership team, steer strategic initiatives, and deploy mechanisms and processes to continue to make Chewy the leading destination for pet parents and partners everywhere. This is a multifaceted role that will require a high degree of business savvy, and the ability to build and implement solutions for business process and organizational challenges. Candidates will be framework-oriented thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments and will possess the capability to one day own a Chewy business line.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the GM of Consumables, providing high-level strategic support.
  • Operationalize business strategy by aligning the organization against stated objectives, streamlining and improve processes for effective collaboration, and identifying gaps in systems and tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities, business unit priorities, and timelines.
  • Identify the right team to progress key initiatives, drive collaboration across groups, and implement cross-functional management mechanisms.
  • Attend meetings and participate in projects with, or on behalf of, the GM of Consumables; manage pre-work, coordinate deliverables, facilitate meetings; and drive accountability for follow-through following those meetings.
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and information to facilitate efficient leadership (VP/President/C-level) decision-making.
  • Work with analytics teams to metricize complex initiatives.
  • Build strong partnership across the organization and externally with outside stakeholders.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Experience in consulting, tech, or retail.
  • Proven track record of getting things done from strategy to delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization

Highly desired:

  • MBA or advanced degree

Bonus:

  • Experience working in a chief of staff.
