The Azure Databricks sales organization is a team of sales professionals that work to deliver significant revenue into Microsoft customers and end users. This team focuses on the full sales motion (prospecting to closure) to accelerate the success of Databricks and its partners. You are responsible for running a book of business for the American region focusing on Americas Enterprise.

Reporting directly to the Azure Databricks Global VP of Sales, the Azure Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the direct sales effort of Azure Databricks alongside Microsoft, while coordinating revenue generating activities with the Databricks sales organization for the Retail & Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, CME, and Canada OU’s. Proven experience in leading an enterprise software sales/consumption process in a complicated matrix/v-team and collaboration with SI/consulting partners is paramount. You will have deep experience in working with large technology cloud platform providers, be customer-oriented, excel in a “team selling” approach and have strong discipline in working towards a value-based sales process. Additionally, we are looking for someone with a strong Azure ecosystem background

The impact you will have:

  • Build and develop strong business cases for business and technical champions.
  • Work with directly with customers to create demand and quantify the business value from use cases
  • Close collaboration with key partner sales leadership (i.e., Microsoft).
  • Implement sales plays jointly with Microsoft and SI partners
  • Work with Microsoft and SI partners to accelerate consumption of Azure Databricks
  • Ensure customer success with the platform, both commercially with business outcomes and technically

What we look for:

  • Strong track record in enterprise software sales, preferably in Data and AI in the Cloud
  • Understanding of the Azure landscape and the consumption sales process
  • Proven, tangible results building territories and executing on an enterprise software sales motions
  • Strong use case / challenger selling instinct and ability to identify opportunities for Databricks with partners as well as ability to work collaboratively with Databricks teams
  • Understand and appreciates what the technology does for customers and their business.
  • Excellent understanding of the various industries and Data and AI use cases.
  • Former MSFT employees or MSFT Azure partners with a good reputation from the MSFT field teams are a definite plus

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
