About this Role:

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented people-loving person to join our People and Culture team as our new Benefits Coordinator. You will play a crucial role in supporting the administration and management of employee benefits programs. Responsibilities

  • Assist with benefits administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other benefit offerings. Assist with processes and maintaining accurate employee records. Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, provide solutions to address
  • Benefits communication and education: Help develop and distribute benefits-related communications and materials to employees. Assist in conducting benefits orientations and providing employees with information about their coverage, eligibility, and any changes to the plans.
  • Respond to employee inquiries: Serve as a point of contact for employees' benefits-related inquiries and provide prompt and accurate information. Assist employees in understanding their benefits options and resolve basic issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with vendors and brokers: Work closely with benefits vendors and brokers to gather necessary information, process employee data, and ensure accurate record-keeping. 
  • Assist with audits, compliance, and documentation: Support the compliance efforts related to benefits administration. Help ensure timely and accurate filing of necessary documents and maintain proper documentation of benefit plans and changes.
  • Support benefits projects: Assist in the implementation of benefits projects and initiatives. Provide support in researching and evaluating new benefit programs or improvements to existing ones.
  • Data management and reporting: Maintain accurate employee data and benefits-related records. Assist in generating reports and analyzing data to track benefits usage, costs, and trends.
  • Collaborative teamwork: Work closely with other HR team members, including HR coordinators and HR Business Partners, to ensure seamless benefits administration and provide support across various HR functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience across HR specialization areas.
  • Proven capability of working with partners to develop, implement and audit HR programs, initiatives, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven track record of calmly, confidently, and confidentially engaging with management and employees to address opportunities and needs, as appropriate.
  • Experience independently processing leaves, including FMLA, STD, LTD, among others.

  • High proficiency in MS Office with a focus on Excel
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws/regulations
  • Experience with Workday
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certified a plus
