The Benefits Specialist maintains and enhances Appian’s  benefits offerings to attract and retain top talent within the company.  In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Appian’s statutory and supplemental benefits programs in multiple countries including expanding our benefit offerings and providing outstanding support to employees.

In this Role, You will be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including maintaining enrollments/terminations, employee changes and billing

  • Engaging with global and local brokers to maintain annual benefit renewals, vendor changes and new program expansion in region

  • Curating and deploying employee-facing benefits communications to ensure ongoing education and awareness of benefits offerings and/changes

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all global benefits related compliance items

  • Providing timely and positive support to respond to benefits related inquiries and address issues from employees

  • Managing vacation and Time Off Programs globally, including leaves of absence

  • Work closely with Business Partnering, Payroll and HR Operations teams to scope, design and assess the impact to new or any changes to existing benefits

  • Maintaining awareness of legal/tax issues within the various countries and their implications for the viability of the benefits offering

Experience Needed:

  • 0-3 years of experience in a Human Resources (HR) related role

  • Prior experience and knowledge of statutory and supplemental benefits programs in multiple countries is preferred 

  • Prior experience with Workday is preferred

  • Experience with day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including maintaining enrollments/terminations, employee changes and billing
