The primary role of the Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE I/II) in the LTP group will be to design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals. Also, the role will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions best suited to deliver on our needs and use cases — such as building a BI solution (i.e. a front-end UI) to acquire and store input data and share outputs tied to various scenarios generated during the long-term, financial planning exercises. Lastly, this role will help democratize data used across multiple workstreams (Location, Storage, and Trans optimizations) by building dashboards with key metrics and visualizations (using Tableau or other toolkits). This role will support the Long-term planning teams by providing accurate, timely, and consistent data to help make informed decisions.

What are the functional requirements? This role will require a strong educational background and hands-on experience with data analysis and management. An ideal candidate will have good problem-solving and critical thinking skills and have advanced vision and attention to detail to show high judgment in how, who, and when they drive discussion.  This role will build clear and actionable reporting using data visualization tools to meet the needs of stakeholders. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development of ongoing reports, analyses and dashboards to guide important decisions and process improvements
  • Work with the Supply Chain teams in areas including network/topology planning and design, capacity planning, inventory placement, transportation planning, delivery experience for improved customer experience and in-stock positions
  • Analyze demand and resource requirements against available resources to identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to solve for resource constraints
  • Communicate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from several data sources using SQL and multiple technological platforms
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
  • Respond to high priority requests from senior business leaders
  • Improve ongoing analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary data sets

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Information Management, Data Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in forecasting and Supply Chain
  • Experience dealing with results and data with a desire to create new processes
  • Tableau, Excel (can write advanced macros), and SQL expertise
  • Programming expertise in Python, Java, Scala, or another modern programming language
  • Knowledge of data warehousing
  • Look at solutions and see opportunities and can lead the way.
  • Convey important insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Masters in Analytics, or equivalent advanced academic degree
  • Experience working with Snowflake
  • Advanced technical skills using Python or Knime
  • Data modeling experience in Retail/E-commerce

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a BI Engineer II position is $100,000.00 - $159,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
