Responsibilities

The Billing and Collections Analyst will assist the Senior Manager, Billing and Collections, with all of the following:

  • Processing invoices for all revenue streams

  • Collection of outstanding customer payments 

  • Application of cash receipts

  • Resolution of customer account discrepancies and billing issues 

  • Analysis of the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts 

  • Preparation of journal entries required to properly record cash receipts and

  • related taxes and bank fees, as well as any bad debt write-offs

  • Process refunds and customer onboarding

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of corporate accounting experience, with knowledge of accounting and billing systems. 

  • A/R Collections experience including interaction with a large customer base in a business-to-business environment is also helpful.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment

  • Ability to handle multiple demands calmly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (eg. Accounting, Finance or Business Administration) is preferred

  • Experience with customer billing portals is preferred

  • ERP financial systems experience is also preferred but not required
