Role overview
As our Director of Billing & Collections, you will be responsible for setting and implementing the strategic and operational direction of our Billing and Collections organization, as well as our deal flow process. You will lead a global (US & India based) team with a laser focus on driving efficient, hyper-scalable processes through our quote to cash process. You and your team will collaborate cross-functionally with many groups across Toast (e.g. sales, onboarding, customer care, IT, revenue accounting, finance) directly impacting our customers’ experience while continuously and creatively driving to improve operations. You and your team are essential to scaling our business efficiently and effectively.
You will drive operational efficiencies through process change, automation, and other methods that improve our performance and make a meaningful positive impact for both our internal stakeholders and end-customers. Doing so will require strategic and innovative thinking to identify our biggest opportunities in driving large-scale systems and technology changes, building, improving and transforming processes, as well as developing, managing and inspiring a high-performing team. You will motivate, develop and grow your team globally, develop a leadership bench, and maintain their passionate focus on serving our external (and internal) customers. We are looking for someone who will achieve these goals by making data driven decisions, and working seamlessly with cross-functional leaders.

- Be a problem solver: Use analytical rigor to break down problems into discrete pieces and develop plans to address. Leverage relationships with stakeholders to bring solutions to life using effective change management to execute effectively.
- Be the glue: Partner closely with cross-functional teams and leaders to understand their challenges and help drive solutions. Drive cross-departmental initiatives that make a meaningful positive impact for our customers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive results: Develop and use metrics to highlight your results, including high NPS across internal stakeholder teams and end-customers.
- Build a great team: Develop, grow, and mentor the team, helping them to succeed & thrive and maintain a growth mindset.
Do you have the right ingredients?
- 10+ years of experience in leading teams on large-scale strategic and / or operational initiatives
- Experienced in Revenue Operations, Billing & Collections, Quote to Cash or other applicable roles
- Ability to build, lead and grow global teams
- Structured thinker that is able to break down ambiguous problems into component pieces
- Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and data-driven approach
- Experience executing process changes and implementing large-scale systems rollouts
- Experienced in pushing projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution, and extensive experience leading large cross-functional initiatives
- Experience leading or influencing India shared service organizations is a plus

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$135,000—$216,000 USD
