As a Brand Partnerships Manager, you will spearhead the strategic identification, development and execution of high-impact partnerships, aligning with our business objectives to drive Pinterest brand momentum and cultural relevance. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand partnership strategy that is based on research and analysis to identify areas of opportunity and partner targets that align to business goals
    • Conduct internal research with pinners, levering insights and data, and Pinterest sales team as appropriate
    • Analyze external research on partner vertical, size of audience, cultural fit with Pinterest, as well as other metrics as relevant to the deal, negotiation and or partnership programming
    • Identify, evaluate and prioritize partnership opportunities based on strategic fit, potential impact, and alignment with brand values
  • Lead and manage early stage lead cultivation of partnership opportunities
    • Lead creative partnership concept development, compelling deck pitching and iteration to an aligned partnership concept and marketing program
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and other teams to leverage partnership opportunities and drive integrated campaigns
    • Negotiate all aspects of the partnership agreement ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial outcomes through partnership with legal
  • Once brand partnership companies are identified:
    • Develop sound project plans, briefs, or marketing strategies rooted in data, with a strong foundation of end user knowledge
    • Identify the necessary resources (internally or externally) to make plans a reality
  • Provide feedback and direction to team members and cross functional partners as they develop strategies and initiatives aligned with partnership strategy. Bring together workstreams outside of Marketing (e.g. Comms, Product) to improve the overall efficiency and impact of the Brand Partnership
    • Track and monitor progress of channel strategies and take appropriate action to emphasize accountability when team members are not meeting milestones, goals, or embodying Pinterest values.
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization and growth, and providing regular reports to senior management

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years experience in Brand Partnerships, Business Development, digital marketing, or experiential marketing 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience 
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of translating vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
  • Proven track record of success in developing, managing and leading Brand Partnerships from pitching to in market execution
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Analytical yet creative; has an aptitude to ground strategies in data and insights and translate into buzz worthy conceptual concepts balancing the needs of both Pinterest and our partner
  • Adaptable and resilient with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities effectively and navigate ambiguity with confidence
  • Familiarity or experience with social media and influencer marketing preferred

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
