Business Data Analyst (12 Month FTC)

The Community You Will Join:
Airbnb is seeking a Business Analyst / Data analyst to join the France, Netherlands and Belgium teams within our Homes Supply organization for a 12-month commitment. This team is responsible for the supply health and growth of our hosts comprising of hundreds of thousands of individual hosts. These hosts are renting their primary homes or secondary homes on an occasional basis a few days per year in order to generate additional incomes.
Your role will be to support the local homes team by providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data informed decisions.
A Typical Day:
- Support local teams on the execution of their local optimisation campaigns by building targeted audience selections using SQL
- Analyse end to end campaign performance, driving insight and delivering strategic recommendations used to optimise future campaigns
- Provide business intelligence and data analysis as well as business-oriented recommendations to support the markets’ strategic priorities. This can include building data models to help grow our host community, identifying opportunities and developing measurement capabilities for local partnerships, auditing our performances to support action plans definition.
- Build dashboards to aggregate external / internal datasets and deliver insights on trends, patterns and opportunities
- Monitor business performances on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and lead business reviews.
Your Expertise:
- You have 1-3 years experience in data analysis
- You have a degree in a technical field: strong preference for Data Science, Statistics, Advanced business analytics, Computer Science, Econometrics or similar
- You are fluent with SQL and similar programming languages – Experience with languages used for querying (e.g. Hive/Presto/SQL), preprocessing (e.g. unix/python), and statistical analysis (e.g. R/Python) is a plus
- You love working with data and be able to solve complex data issues
- Very proficient with Excel
- You are a critical thinker: you makes sense of the data, validate it based on existing external reference points and recognize trends
- You love working cross-functionally with different stakeholders
- You are organized and efficient
- You are proactive and love innovating
- You are curious and like diving deep on your hunches

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
