THE WORK:

Ripple’s mission is to build the Internet of Value (IoV) - which will enable the world to move value like information moves today.  Ripple’s Business Development team is looking to bring on board a high performing professional who can help the team as it pursues a range of opportunities which includes launching new product capabilities, building out core infrastructure capabilities and navigating strategic partnerships within our RippleNet and RippleX businesses. Ripple’s Business Development group is extremely active internally and externally as it is able to leverage the Company’s significant market leading position for a wide range of opportunities. 

The role is initially focused on business coordination within business development, and the ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and have core skill-sets to assist our business development team in pipeline management, stakeholder management, team coordination, and other core activities that enable the team to meet and exceed its key results.  Working as part of a global team, the candidate will support the team's businesses across the globe and will be in the exciting position of seeing every type of deal that touches the business development team. A strong interest and experience of digital assets / crypto markets is also highly desirable, but not required. While this role is initially a business coordinator role, the candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the Business Development team and grow the remit of the role. 

You will ideally be passionate about crypto and exploring how companies, developers, and consumers will adapt to the inevitable shift from centralization to decentralization. Come join us if you see it too and know how to get it done!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead Ripple’s business development team’s coordination across several verticals. 
  • Assist with reporting for the global business development team and create processes for pipeline and project management
  • Own the operational process of our ecosystem engagement including deal pipeline, dashboarding and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including business operations, product, marketing, compliance, legal, and finance to align priorities for the team
  • Combine analytical rigor and creativity to drive improvements to Business Development’s approach to administration, reporting, and other key activities
  • Support the global business development team in coordinating time sensitive meetings, team activities, and global offsites
  • A willingness for some travel is a must

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • The candidate will likely be early on in their career journey, and may have gained experience in similar roles at different organizations
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing industry, tolerate ambiguity, and demonstrates problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and exceptional communication skills as well as the desire and ability to drive projects forward by influencing cross-functional colleagues
  • A natural networker who is able to build trust and relationships
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence (EQ), and ability to persuade / drive alignment among differing perspectives both internally and externally
  • Salesforce experience essential
  • A strong interest in crypto/digital assets is desired, but not required.
