Role: Business Director FTC - 12 months

Location:Hybrid / London - onsite 2-3 x per week

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Business Director will be an integral part of OLIVER’s biggest account. Your role will be focused around the Homecare category and the client's central marketing needs, however you will also be required to look after 2 of the client's other brands. It’s a hybrid role with on site office attendance at Blackfriars a minimum of 2 days a week.

OLIVER’s business model means that we put bespoke studios on-site, it is important that you thrive working hand in hand with your clients daily.

This role is a global integrated role and having a full understanding of the strategic and creative process and how this develops into a full suite / ecosystem of assets for multi-markets is imperative for success. Clear experience working with FMCG brands is a benefit.

 

THIS ROLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF...

You should be a strong strategic thinker, with an agency background. You will be working closely with multiple clients as a long-term business partner, steering the development of their brand and marketing strategy, building relationships with Brand Director’s and Brand VP’s. Support for the client's SLT is also a large part of this role, and you will need to be comfortable dealing with all levels of clients on occasion and ensuring these are successful engagements.

This role requires a courteous, positive, and high-energy individual with great people skills. Someone who can demonstrate a proven track record of driving teams to deliver for clients while supporting your team fully. You should have a meticulous attention to detail, establishing yourself as a safe pair of hands, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

You will also need strong experience in partnering with brands and helping provide solutions to their many business problems through the capabilities of the client and delivering financial growth as an output of this.

You will need to forecast and manage revenue projections as part of the overall client studio.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Building strong and long-lasting relationships with the clients
  • Be the escalation point for the client for any issues with your teams, taking a problem-solving attitude and approach
  •  Negotiating to create win-win compromises with the client on behalf of the team where needed
  •  Support the client's Managing Partner in managing the P&L for the team and share regular financial forecasts with senior management
  • Working closely with the EMEA head of operations and the client's Managing Partner to develop the team needed for successful growth.
  • You will actively seek out opportunities with brands and build relationships with senior clients, pushing to upsell our offering. Delivering studio growth is a critical part of this role.
  • Continuously review and develop strategic plans for the overall growth of the studio.

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Strong gravitas and the ability to build relationships with senior clients, building trust in the client's offering
  • A team player with a client-centric focus and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with colleagues
  • A deep understanding of running an in-house agency
  • Competence in managing teams
  • Able to demonstrate ownership of large or complex clients
  •  Experience in the FMCG / CPG sectors
  • 12+ years of relevant experience
