About the role… 

Hashicorp is evolving our approach to managing the digital workplace, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, employee experience, and delivering value through the applications we use every day. We are forming a new role to address the ongoing growth and process maturity required to help IT and HashiCorp scale as we embark on a Corporate Digital Transformation journey.

As the Specialist, Business Process Reengineering, you will help document and refine how HashiCorp uses IT SaaS technology to help scale the company and align with company principles. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain a deep understanding of current business processes and identify areas for improvement by conducting in-depth analysis, identifying areas for optimization, and increase business efficiency.

In this role, you can expect to…
  • Data-driven Analysis: Develop performance metrics and construct reports that effectively represent current state, desired future state, and where we are on our journey to close gaps.
  • Value Stream Mapping: Apply visualization and business value stream identification practices to creating workflows using common tools such as LucidChart, Miro, or others.
  • Process Reengineering: Research or implement best business practices within and outside the organization, collecting and analyzing process data to initiate, develop, and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on increased revenue, improved productivity, or reduced cost. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in process reengineering to continuously improve processes within the organization.
  • Technical Writing: Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Standard Process Definition and Governance: Develop ceremonies (meetings, automation, etc.) to agreed upon business process standards (SOPs), and documentation is reviewed and updated as needed; establish role definitions and manage the extended community of process owners, program managers, and operations teams that may leverage our core IT business technology on a regular basis. 
  • Project Management: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver process documentation initiatives, architecture maturity model projects, and strategy development initiatives by ensuring each process-related milestone is delivered on time and the scope is appropriately limited.
  • Change Management: Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of re-engineering efforts and application of best practice.
You may be a good match for our team if you have…
  • 3+ years of IT experience in a fast-moving, agile environment in a high-growth company.
  • Experience with critical business processes such as hire to retire, quote to cash, financial reporting, procure to pay, etc.
  • Experience with SOP creation and maintenance
  • Experience with value stream mapping
  • Knowledge of Lean IT, Six Sigma, operational excellence or other process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of 3rd party digital workplace tools.
  • Technical writing, presentation, and communication skills and experience
  • An ability to take on initiatives without being prompted to do so.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, goal-oriented, and the ability to effectively manage multiple activities and/or projects concurrently.
  • An ability to handle change, ambiguity, decision-making, and deadlines in a structured fashion.
  • An ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, a strong sense of accountability, and a proven track record of driving results through both direct & indirect influence.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities, including ad-hoc requests.
  • Comfortable working with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about driving business transformation through technology.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$135,200—$159,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$123,900—$145,800 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$112,600—$132,500 USD
