We are looking for an Operational Buyer to join our Procurement team. Every week, we buy all the ingredients for our HelloFresh box and monitor the performance and quality of our suppliers. Reporting to our Irish Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end our ordering process - quality control, delivery planning, orders... You have a key role to play!

We seek candidates who will bring an analytical, structured and proactive way of working, focused on delivering results in a high-paced environment. Our ideal applicant has experience from a high-performance culture environment, ideally (but not necessarily) in the food/retail industry, and is hungry to take on a challenge and make an impact at a fun, fast-growing, mission-driven meal kit delivery service business.

• Be in charge of managing the weekly supply of our ingredients including inventory management, forecasting consumption, placing orders, validating invoices, and ensuring everything is delivered on time and in full
• Resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, deliveries, purchasing or quality/performance quickly and professionally to avoid any shortages
• Assemble data relating to suppliers performance and own the relationship to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest service level is achieved 
• Interact with culinary, food safety & quality and production teams on daily basis to determine product needs, delivery schedules, collect feedback and come up with solutions for any issues together
• As part of a fast-paced team, drive cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and testing new processes and implementing positive change to continue building, growing, and improving our processes and capabilities

• 2/3 + years of procurement and/or sourcing experience in produce or other perishable food fields
• Customer-centric and willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs
• Detail-oriented with proven ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Proactive, confident in manner and are able to deal with a large and complex network of suppliers delivering a large quantity and variety of perishable ingredients.
• Passionate about our business: a foodie and an operations and problem-solving zealot
• A Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in related field
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite, specifically MS Excel and Google Sheets
