HashiCorp is looking for high-caliber customer-facing engineering interns to join our Support Engineering team. Your role will involve overseeing Cloud Support Projects and fostering collaboration with other teams within the Cloud Support Organization. This presents an exciting chance to be part of a close-knit team, directly influencing HashiCorp's rapid business expansion. We are seeking a self-driven, meticulous candidate with a penchant for process enhancement, adept project management abilities, problem-solving acumen, and a robust software engineering background.

In this role you can expect to

  • Triage and help solving incoming support requests using Zendesk
  • Document and record all activity and communication with customers following both internal and external security standards.
  • Case Management, assist with quality audits, case hygiene and adhesion to policies and procedures for the department.
  • Working with the Support Team and other related cross-functional groups to create, define, project manage, execute, track, and report on all major Support Team initiatives to successful completion.
  • Continuously improving processes, policies, and tools for tasks performed by Support Engineers and as well as within and outside the Support Operations team.
  • Working and collaborating with managers and other stakeholders across the organization to improve the Support Engineer and Customer Experience.
  • Working and collaborating with team outside of Support to drive and complete various initiatives
  • Collecting program requirements, setting up deliverables, reporting progress, managing stakeholder expectations, and acting as the key liaison between the Cloud Support Team and other parts of HashiCorp.
  • Attend weekly Cloud Support  meetings to discuss issues/projects/tickets pertinent to support.
  • Collaborate with Support engineers, Customer Success Managers, Account Managers and Support managers to schedule, coordinate, and become part of the end to end customer experience.
  • Contribute to documentation, customer knowledge base, and best practices guides.

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Administration, or equivalent training in the United States.
    • Experience with project management in a fast growing technology company.
    • Good understanding of Software Engineering or System Administration.
    • Handled a project, collaborating with your colleagues
    • Strong understanding of at least one Programming language with the ability to write Liquid Code, Web Development (HTML, Javascript, CSS, JSON)
    • Experience with REST-API’s (Automation, writing API calls/scripts and troubleshooting existing integrations)
    • Coding experience interfacing with multiple systems via API is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing experience is a plus. 
    • Good organization skills, an excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and self-starter attitude.
    • Excellent problem solving along with analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Familiarity with tools like Zendesk, Jira/Confluence, Zapier is a plus.
    • Familiarity with HashiCorp products (Vault, Consul, Terraform, Vagrant, Nomad, Packer) is a plus
