The Community You Will Join: 

  • The Communications Specialist, Global Celebrity and Entertainment, is part of the Airbnb Global Consumer and Product Communications team, a truly cross-functional group that acts as the connective tissue between the global team and the regions around the world.  Responsible for telling the Airbnb story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media, hosts and guests, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Airbnb. 
  • The Global Consumer and Product Communications team oversees programs that put Airbnb into pop culture. We do this through programs like Only On Airbnb, Celeb Stays, TV and film integrations, etc. This year, our scope has increased to oversee the Celebrity Host program and to support geo expansion plans with consumer communications strategies.

The Difference You Will Make:

  • You’ll help develop and execute buzz-worthy campaigns that keep Airbnb front of mind, stimulate word-of-mouth and drive positive sentiment for the brand.
  • You’re curious, engaged, proactive, and solution-oriented and tapped into the latest trends, aware of consumer behavior and on the pulse of the latest news in entertainment and travel. 

A Typical Day:

  • Support Global Celebrity & Entertainment campaigns and program managers  – including hosting and guest stays – including drafting briefs and press materials, maintaining trackers and reporting, owning weekly cross-functional calls and agendas, and assisting with Customer Experience cases
  • Support for the wider Global Consumer programs, such as assisting with Only On Airbnb campaigns, scheduling office hours, taking notes, conducting research, vetting opportunities, etc.
  • Assist in needs for talent consultants and the wider team including scheduling meetings and coordinating travel
  • Assist in the development of strategic TV, film and entertainment-related partnerships
  • Assist in management of talent agency and consultant partners, including attending weekly calls and monitoring program status
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams and agencies to develop global media strategies for consumer campaigns
  • Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of evolving trends by monitoring social media channels and the dally news cycle, while looking for press opportunities
  • Identify great Host and guest stories for the creation of press materials

Your Expertise:

  • 1.5-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in an administrative capacity
  • A passion for pop culture, social media and trends
  • Ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Exhibit strong process-oriented skills and passion for trying, learning, improving, and sharing best practices
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and expertise in building and executing organic campaigns and strategies that drive favorable press and social buzz
  • Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative
  • Acute attention to detail and follow through, and are very organized
  • Advanced presentation skills (Keynote, G Suite) and knowledge and application of meeting collaboration tools and current social networking systems
  • Maintain enthusiasm and a level head in even the most stressful situations
  • Personal integrity that reflects Airbnb’s core values and commitment to diversity and belonging

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$80,000—$100,000 USD
